We are the largest and most active group of atheists, agnostics, skeptics, freethinkers, humanists, and other nonbelievers in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC area. This group is a safe place to meet and socialize with other nonbelievers in a supportive environment. Inspired by my experience at the TSC Conference, I decided to start this group in hope of extending the conversation to the Triangle area. I have been developing a conceptual framework which addresses issues such as the Explanatory Gap and Hard Problem of Consciousness. The purpose of the group is to foster a community for those of us who are interested in helping to build a contemporary understanding of consciousness.
